Wine Tasting in Livermore

We took a day trip to Livermore for a wine tour for my best friend’s birthday. The tour started and ended at the gorgeous Ruby Hill winery. I was expecting beautiful scenery and great wine, but I wasn’t expecting how fun and educational the tour was going to be.

We took a tour on the Mellow Cielo, equipped with rotating seats made from wine barrels.

Some grapes that had been left behind and dried on the vines.

A vineyard. One of my favorites sites to see!

Storage room at Ruby Hill’s sister winery. SO cool!

On the wine tour we stopped off at an old water tower. Inside was a huge square table where the served a pairing with more wine tasting. These prosciutto wrapped cheeses (can’t remember the type) were a perfect pairing with the white wine they served.

We got to taste the grapes! They were pretty sour, but they make amazing wine!
