In 2012 I was living in San Diego, about to move to Texas with my (now) husband. I had gone home to visit my parents, and like always I requested we go to the city for the day. I grew up in the valley about 1.5 hours northeast of the city and visiting was my favorite thing to do! I remember driving around this day specifically dreaming about living in San Francisco and thinking that it more than likely would never happen. Fast forward 3 years and here I am living in the bay area, just a hop, skip and a jump (or a bridge, or ferry ride) from the city! These photos were taken the day of that trip and still today they inspire me.

View of a beautiful building sitting in Cioppino’s restaurant
Delicious bruschetta from Cioppino’s (I highly recommend this place. It is one my family returns to consistently when in the city)
These stunning, cascading flowers on the most beautiful cream colored home

Every time I go to the city I try to stop by Ghirardelli Square. It is a very touristy place to go, but the atmosphere and beautiful original brick buildings make me happy. Plus I am a HUGE chocoholic and Ghirardelli chocolate is some of the best!
